AGCAL lamb is grown from our top producing ewes bred on the family farms. These proven performance breeders are a direct result from the growth stats and weight data measured over the lifespan of all our flocks. This has given us the consistency in the breeding traits that exploit the Top Quality Hay and Grain feeding program we introduce at the critical growing time. This has enabled us to produce a premium product of export grade that our markets and customers desire.
When necessary to increase the turnover of numbers required by market orders, we source store lambs only from well know registered producers of first and second cross top line meat producing breeds.
AGCAL’s proprietary grain mix has been specifically designed by our nutritionist from Reid Stockfeeds, it follows a quality assurance program, the mix is supplied with tested protein and vitamins to our specifications.
We work closely with our agronomist to optimize the property’s Lucerne, Grass Hay and fodder production potential. We have rigorously researched, trialed and tested to get the ultimate grain/fresh grass/dry fodder ratios producing the consistent growth in our selected meat breeds.
